Yin Yoga meets Yoga Nidra. This is an hour in which the delicious yin postures meet the divine restfulness of yoga nidra, deep sleep. Yoga nidra is a guided meditation through the scanning of the body and awareness of the breath. The combination leads to complete calm and peace.
Hatha yoga focuses on the physical alignment and breath to create stability in the body while calming the mind. It is a quieter practice playing with effort and ease. It will offer growth in strength, flexibility, and balance. It is open to all levels while modifications will be offered.
Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of yoga. The poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes) to target the connective tissues rather than focusing on the muscles. The class is very meditative and nurturing. It is open to all levels of students.
